LDAP bug in Thunderbird

In May this year, I opened a "bug report":https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294457 for the Mozilla Thunderbird client; when an LDAP server is configured and credentials are required to access that server, the download of S/MIME certificates via LDAP erroneously uses anonymous bind. Unfortunately, the bug is still open and has neither been resolved in 1.0.6 nor in 1.5beta1.
