The World's Mail Servers: A Statistic
O'Reilly have a blurb on Fingerprinting the World's Mail Servers, in which they try to sum up the percentage of Open Source mail servers in the World.

As I'd have expected, Open Source appears to dominate the MTA world, even though I am a little skeptical as to the percentages. The article explains how the fingerprinting was performed, but there are ways to hide those.
What does surprise me a bit is that Lotus Domino doesn't show up. On the other hand, we hide it too… ![]()
