Advertising is a necessity, and it is unthinkable that it will disappear. I actually often enjoy advertising, either because it makes me laugh, or because the product looks good.

But what is the point of a Web page like this one?

I've marked the relevant text in red — the rest is noise.

I stumble over pages like the one above more and more often, and after wading through the garbage, trying to find the tidbit I'm interested in, I always think: what's the point?
