Amazing what kind of (bizarre, crazy or just plain fun) ideas some people come up with: a chap uses an LCD photo frame he's displeased with to create a digital clock.

The clock (i.e. the photo frame) displays pre-created images of the time, and he uses an Arduino micro controller to press the 'next photo' button once a minute. It's a fun read.
