Just received a message from Mozilla indicating that whatmon has been approved. It has taken a while, but at least it is now officially available. It is however, my fault it's taken so long:
In the future, if the only change to your add-on is an update to the maxVersion compatibility, you do not need to [...]
My whatmon add-on to Mozilla's Firefox browser or the Thunderbird e-mail client is now compatible with Firefox 3.5.
Enjoy a local copy now or wait until it pops up on Mozilla's add-ons site.

My whatmon add-on to Mozilla's Firefox browser or the Thunderbird e-mail client is now Firefox 3.0-compatible, and we've now got an Options dialog, thanks to a patch provided by Gábor Lipták.
Enjoy a local copy now or wait until it pops up on Mozilla's add-ons site.

My whatmon extension or add-on for Mozilla's Firefox and Thunderbird has had a small update.
If you prefer to download it from the official Mozilla addons site you'll have to wait until it has been processed off the queue, but you can already get the current version chez moi.
Enjoy.
Reader Uwe Pries has left a comment on my whatmon extension for Firefox and/or Thunderbird, where he shows us some PHP code to use whatmon to notify him of new messages which have arrived at a POP3 account.
He was also kind enough to point us to the code he uses.
Thanks, Uwe.
